A young dad, John (Ioan) Claudiu Casap, desperately needs help to win the custody of his 1.5 year old daugther.
While working for a couple of months in Germany, to provide for his family back home in Romania, his wife left the country with another man, without telling John, leaving their very young daughter to their irresponsible grandmother (mom's mother). The mother hasn't contacted John, and wouldn't answer his calls in more than one month.
As soon as John found out his wife left the baby with her mother, John came back in Romania.
The baby is currently living alone with her grandma in her grandmother's and mother's filthy apartment, in Bucharest, Romania. The living conditions are deplorable. For a long while, they didn't have running water. The grandmother never, ever cleans. Her home is not just messy, it's literally unsanitary. There's even dried up dog feces and urine in the baby's crib. The conditions where the baby lives are unbelievably filthy. The situation was the same even when the baby's mother was living there. The grandmother is unemployed, and she usually pawns most of the things in the house to buy cigarettes and coffee. She even threatened John multiple times that she will kill herself if he won't give her money for a pack of smokes.
Even though the mother left the baby more than one month ago, and she did not come back in her country yet, the romanian law still favors the mother in almost every case.
In order to fight for the custody, John paid a lawyer more than half the sum needed to start the process yesterday, 2nd of may, 2018, but still urgently needs around 500 $ for the lawyer, in order to start the procedure as soon as possible, so the Child Protection Service and the Police can visit the grandmother's house and deem it unfit.
I've known John for more than 15 years, and he was always a great friend, a responsible and hard working man, who you could always count in, and he is an even better father. Any help, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
