Hi guys, I'm Yoda and I'm only 8 months old. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a feline disease where the feline coronavirus mutates in the body.
Until 2018 it was considered a deadly disease, however, in a study done by Dr. Niels Pedersen on the active compound GS-441524, the antiviral was shown to be effective in curing FIP.
The patent holder (Gilead Science), however, has no interest in putting it on the market. As a result, other companies began to produce the drug and sell it on the parallel market, which further increases its cost.
The cost of my treatment will be over 4,000 dollar.
