Hi Everyone,My name is Ana. I live in CT and I'm a mother of 3. I found this website by desperation I guess you would call it. I google how to raise funds for college and here I am. The help I'm asking for is not for me but for one of my daughters. One of my biggest regrets is not going to college, and life has not been easy. I almost did not finish High School, but I did. Having to take care of my mother who was very sick with shizoprenia for as long as I remember didn't leave a lot of time to plan for a future outside of my parents home. And so college took a back seat because my mother was very important to me. My parents past away, and I will always wonder if I ever did enough for them. I'm a lot older now and have kids of my own. I'm also disabled and live on social security alone. I only want my kids to be able to have what I could not. I don't want them to have the same regrets I have. They know that nothing is given for free, that you have to work hard for what you need and higher education will go a long way. It doesn't matter how old they are, as a mom I will always do my best to help them out. My daughter Melissa is 18 years old. She has been accepted at ECSU. Her major is Enviromental Science. She has been applying for scholarships but she has not been lucky enough to get enough money. Even after loans and grants there's still a gap. Room and board, tuition, meals, books and fees and what not, cost a lot more than I thought. The picture is the actual bill. Please, all I ask is for one penny at a time, because any little bit helps. Thank you for giving this a glance.
