Hi our father, Wilson Gabriel Lodivico, 59 years old, was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Cancer. My family and I are raising funds for his upcoming chemotherapy sessions, operation and continuous medication.
My father first experienced the pain in his stomach late March 2019 while he was still at his work as a cruise ship waiter. He ignored it at first because the pain was not that severe. Upon his arrival here in the Philippines last April 2019, we've noticed that he lost some weight and looked pale. He was hospitalized and had undergone blood transfusion due to his low hemoglobin count. After being discharged, we've done series of check-ups and tests and these initially revealed he has an inflammation in the boundary of his small and large intestine. He was prescribed with medicines but as the days passed by, he was not responding to medications. The pain he felt in his intestines is getting worst that made him limit his activities. He lost sleep and appetite which lead to his drastic weight lost.
Last July, upon getting another medical opinion, he underwent surgery which required opening a part of his abdominal wall so that his stool will go to a bag fastened to his abdomen. The doctors revealed that in his small intestine, a mass (with 9 nodules around it) was found to be causing the blockage in his digestive track. They have already removed it and fortunately, upon checking the other close-by organs, they found no signs of infections or cancer spread. Weeks after, the biopsy results came in, and confirmed that my father has stage 3 Colon Cancer.
At present, my father needs to undergo series of chemotherapy for at least 3 months after his surgery. Additionally, the doctors will perform another surgery to connect his intestines and close the opening at his side so that his stool will normally go down to his rectum.
Unfortunately, our family has been under financial strain after his operation that is why we are knocking on your generous hearts to give our father a second chance for a better and healthy life with us.
We will forever be grateful for any help you will be able to give and we'll be praying that God will return the favor to you.
