Hi, we are a group of 30 underprivileged students aged between 15 to 19. Some of us are mugging for 'O's and and 'A' level exams. It is not helping that our parents are at home, stressed that they lost their jobs. We ask Father if we can bake a cake or buy one rose for Mum , but the reply was "What do you think? I can't even promise there's food on the table tomorrow. Still want to celebrate Ma De Day.." Mum will feel very sad if she hears it. The rest who still got colour markers can still draw a card. I tried to but Popular is closed. I can't send an eCard as Mum isn't so savvy to own a smartphone. We know we can't make this year a special Mother's Day for our mums. Many of us just have a small request, to let our mums take a well-deserved rest, not to be busy in the kitchen. We'd love to buy her a nice meal, and just watch her eat. Perhaps a nice bento takeout. It doesn't need to be 5 star hotel standard seafood feast or lobster rolls i see on influencers' IG stories. Plus a cup of bubble tea. It's so hard to get one now that Liho's closed and I can't use student card for the $2 milk tea with pearls. I remember Mum was curious what bubble tea tastes like and why we would scrimp and save recess $ just to get oor bubble tea fix once a month. It's crazy that to get one cup now ,we have to pay $10 to $25!! for compulsory delivery. $10 is enough to dabao one day's meals for our whole family, even more for my muslim friends who are fasting

  • (halal) Bento: $15
  • Drink: $8-10
  • Cake: $20
  • Delivery: $10
  • Gift: 10x $10 grocery vouchers for Mum to prepare our meals till circuitbreaker (CB)/Singapore lockdown ends in June.

Round off to $150 per person

We know this may be last minute for mother's day. We set this up last week but there's zero views let alone any donation. If you have a mother who's lucky to have you celebrate with her, we sincerely hope you can donate a little to our fund.

If you are a mother yourself, we hope you can spread some of your blessing to our mums. If a miracle happens, and donations come in, we can go redman and get supplies to bake our own cake, albeit a bit late! Or we can order a proper cake on 12th May when confectioneries are open. No amount is too small. Thank you for reading, your kind support and kind donation. Please spread the word, so your equally helpful friends can help too.

We will leave this donation drive open to June. Hopefully we can hit our target, and any extra we can distribute to celebrate Father's day. Dunwan the breadwinner to feel neglected!
