Help Violet’s Pretty Head

We welcomed our beautiful baby, Violet, into the world this summer and since have struggled with her health care needs.  She was born a preemie and has surprised us all with her good mood and the ability to share her cheer.  Her most recent diagnosis is plagiocephaly (misshappen head) and torticollis (weak neck muscles).  Her head is not just flat on the back due to sleeping on her back, but in an elyptical type shape because he neck muscles are weak on the right side.  She has been seeing a physical therapist for a few months to help build muscle strength, but she still requires a helmet to help reshape her head. 

Insurance has refused to pay on the helmet because they consider it cosmetic.  I would like for insurance to consider what it will be like for her when she is sixteen and noticing her eyes are not on level.  This will lead to more than just cosmetic problems. 

What we need help with the cost of the helmet, $2600!  Any donation is appreciated!  If you donate $15 or more you get a "Violet" Pin.  Time is of essense, as her bone plates on her head will be setting permanently soon and then we will not be able to stop the misshappen process. 

We all feel blessed to have such a wonderful baby.  All we are asking for is your help to keep Violet as beautiful as she was meant to be!
