For the last five decades, villagers in the Northeast Region of Thailand have been fighting for the rights to their ancestral land. Community members have been wrongfully evicted by the Forest Industry Organization, to make room for the development of profitable plantations. Villagers have faced unjust lawsuits, fines, and jail time for living on their land.
