HELP VILLAGE SCHOOL BUY BEDS, DESK AND TEXT BOOKS.

St.Vianney school is located in Rodi Kopany , a small village in Homabay near lake victoria. The school has a population of up to 200 pupils whereby majority are former street children rescued from the streets of Nairobi. Following the high number of children registered in the school there is need for extra beds and mattresses , text books and also desks. The school has a dormitory that accommodates up to 60 children whereby a majority share beds while others sleep on the floor. As a result of these during rainy seasons many cases of illness and diseases have been experienced due to cold floor , contagious diseases such as ringworm , hooping cough and others that occurs due to physical and body contact has been on rampant.In class the number of desks are few and the pupils have to squeeze in 5 in order to fit . When it comes to learning the school cannot afford enough text books for each pupil therefore making learning here an uphill task. Besides learning the school also offer rehabilitation to street children through psychosocial counselling session both group and individual. We kindly appeal for your generous support that will go towards supporting these children have a good future when they grow up. We need a total of 25 beds each costing 8500 each , 25 mattresses each costing 4,650 , Assorted text books at a cost of 150,000 and also 120 desks each costing 1500 Total amount targeted is Ksh 658,750.00 (6000 Euros)

These Funds will be directly managed by the school at the end of the campaign period and of which receipts of moneys spent will be kept for final evaluations availed at any given time to all backers ,supporters and follower of the campaign. During this campaign period The school together with Friends Of Children Theatre Group based in Nrb will be organizing trips and Tours both within Nrb and Homabay where the school is located as "Fundraising Campaign catalyst " This will be done according to rewards issued on amounts donated. Volunteers assisting in farm , community and the school .The school has a guest house that can accommodate up to 4 guests per night .Guests Live, learn and assists in nurturing skills and amplitudes of the children .
