This summer I got an exceptional opportunity to participate at the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School in Shanghai from August 28th-September 3rd, 2017 by being selected out of over 1,200 applicants. Together with 35 other participants from all over the world we will work on solutions for the issues around the topic of food and will strive to allocate all our knowledge and effort to develop a sustainable project for efficiency of food production.

Global food challenge has always been a major problem to consider not only by economical sector but also social and political sectors as it deals with vital concerns such as environmental, developmental, economic and issues of health. Indeed, world’s population is predicted to reach over 9 billion by 2050 meaning that food production will need to double, at the same time there is a need for a number of additional policies to be done in order to ensure food security for future generations. Climate change and rising food prices show the necessity of immediate solutions and such events like GESS 2017 will strive to provide it for the global benefit.

As an Business Administration and International Economics student I have already gained sufficient knowledge about food challenge and the whole Business&Management sphere and now have a huge desire to implement theoretical knowledge into real life solutions has strongly settled in me. In 2016 I have already participated in Model United Nations conference as a delegate from a ECOSOC 1 Sustainable Development Committee, where together with delegation we have developed resolution upon 15 sustainable development goals that was successfully lobbied in the General Assembly. Later I was delighted to participate in a number of SPICE Workshops, where we got an opportunity to speculate upon the real Danish and German businesses together with their CEO, evaluate business’ production process, market situation and consequently advise better ways of running specific product lines and adapting efficient marketing strategies.

Unfortunately, in order to study in Denmark as a non-EU student I have to pay a considerable about of money and all my earnings and savings go to cover tuition fee and rent and therefore cannot afford travel tickets to Shanghai. Any contributions would be a great help for me. Looking forward to your consideration and understanding.
