Good day visitor! My name is Ildemaro Romero, I'm 22 years old. I study Computer Science at Universidad Nacional Experimental de la Gran Caracas, previously called Colegio Universitario Caracas and I'm currently working as a Web designer in a small company.
As you may or may not know, Venezuela is having a very difficult situation at the moment. Between recent events such as the five days blackout, drinkable water, healthcare situation and hyperinflation, many venezuelan people are struggling to have even the basics (food, for example).
At my current job, I earn monthly approximately $30. I need to spend 20$ between common expenses and paying bills; the remained $10 are cut in half: $5 for transportation purposes (from home to college) and $5 for me to spare. building a computer in Venezuela cost more than building a computer in the US. A CPU such as a used FX 8350 is being sold at some stores at the high price of $120. To reach $120, I need to save my $5 monthly for at least 2 years and a half only for the CPU.
I know this may look like a poor cause compared to those who need the money for relatives in delicate conditions, but my current job is linked to my computer and I'm afraid of losing it because of my setup. I live with my sister and my two little nieces and she already has 2 jobs. That's why I'm asking for help to buy, not fully new, competent hardware. The parts I no longer use will be donated to people that are having the same problem I have.
