HELP US TO PRESERVE COMOE CHIMPANZEES
The Comoé Chimpanzee Conservation Project and Comoé chimpanzees need your help. We have been working for 9 years in the conservation and research of the critically endangered chimpanzees inhabiting Comoé, in northeastern Ivory Coast, involving local communities, training and hiring Africans in the research and conservation of their incredible natural heritage. The funding difficulties caused by the coronavirus crisis are making it much more difficult for our little project to continue with its urgent work. If our team is not deployed in the field, poachers, gold miners and trafikkers can harm the chimpanzees and their habitat, which also shelters many other valuable species, such as elephants, leopards or eight species of monkeys. We need your help so we can keep paying our local staff and renew some essential equipment. Any contribution will be well received and can help. Thanks to all in advance.
