Help us to make million meals

Millions are locked indoors across Pakistan following a lock-down ordered by the government. Streets are deserted, public transport, offices, shops, markets, parks, and other public spots are closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic in the country. All the economic activities of earning like construction, maintenance, repairing are suspended. Among the carrier and suspects of the virus, there is a big number of people who are breathing hard to survive for life! These are the daily-wagers like labors, masons, painters, cart-pullers, and carpenters who are neither suspects nor carriers of the virus but are the normal people locked inside the home for the past two weeks. These daily wagers sustain their lives on wages which they earn daily. Their families solely depend on these wages. As these daily wagers are locked at home so as their wages are locked! Jacobabad is one of the cities of Pakistan where daily wagers are badly affected since the lock-down is imposed. As the majority of this strata belongs to the villages surrounding and the city. They are now unable to make both ends meet as a result of the ban on their daily movement for doing the labor. Also, there is a large number of daily wage earners who live in the city area. With their already lower economic affordability, they are facing a lack of resources to live a healthy and normal life. Their children, women, and elders are in abject miseries. Their immediate worry now is about food as they have nothing to have for the living.

Expressing the economic condition a daily-wage earner while talking to our team said “What should I do? Work? No! That's impossible now! I can't even beg even if I have to!" and pointing to his son, standing nearby him, he wept, " I can live without food for days, but what would I tell them when I don't bring them anything to eat!” the daily wager lamented.

Taking some measures to protect these poorest people in this worsening situation our team distributed food items among the 100 needy families of low-wage-earners but could not cover all owning to the shortage of resources. Your support can make us go even further for our initiative to distribute 250 bags of ration among families of daily wagers in Jacobabad, Pakistan. The food bags include rice, flour, pulses, cooking oil and spices that will likely to meet their ten days of food needs. Please hand in hand with us to support this noble cause. Your support is crucial to our efforts for the survival of low-wagers. If you’re able, we’d love it if you could make a donation of any amount to help us achieve our mission. Your donation can be a reason of life for many households during this pandemic and will let none go bed hungry. Please support us for humanity and extend social solidarity.
