MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR EFFECTIVE & SUSTAINABLE USE OF COOKING GAS
(MYGAZ Project)

INTEGRATED GAS MONITORING AND LEAKAGE DETECTION SYSTEM

Hello!!

MYGAZ TEAM

We are a team of students from Cameroon in Central Africa. We are engineering students who want to answer a problem that is undermining our community and we need your help to rein in this problem.

Africa is one of the poorest continent in the world. In the continent, young people represent 60% of the unemployed. This is very alarming for the economy and stability in the continent. Thus, entrepreneurship is proving to be a way of helping young Africans.
For this reason, we have decided to propose innovative solutions to the problems of the African community while participating in the economic emergence of the continent more precisely of Cameroon.

What is the problem behind our Project?

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has played a revolutionary role in facilitating domestic fuels used for heating and cooking. With multiple advantages, bottled LPG has seen a wide growth in many African countries. However, LPG also comes with disadvantages.

The main disadvantage associated with the use of LPG is to do with the storage and safety. To store LPG, the gas has to be kept pressurized in very sturdy tanks and cylinders. This causes a high risk of gas leak and explosion which resulted in serious damages to lives and property. Besides, due to the unique form of storage, it is hard for consumers to know when the bottle runs out of gas. This could lead to some unpleasant experiences during cooking time.

PITCH OF OUR SOLUTION:

MYGAZ is an integrated electronic device which aims at enabling African Community who make use of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) as domestic gas, to avoid the embarrassment of sudden gas termination as well as enable easy detection of gas leakage in-house. MYGAZ is an intelligent meter and a mobile application.

Project Description:

Energy can be conserved by reducing wastage and losses, improvement in efficiency by technological up gradation and improved operation and maintenance.
MYGAZ is an integrated device that is designed to provide adequate security and enhance the maximal use of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) for especially domestic users.

It offers a variety of usage. It is a measuring and safety tool with several features:

- Provide real-time information about the amount of gas in a gas cylinder.

- Provide gas management system with an easy to use mobile application.

- Display the remaining cooking time (vis-a-vis remaining gas) in terms of hours and minutes with greater accuracy.

- Notify user when the bottle is about to run out.

- Alert user when there is a chance of gas leakage.

- Keep track of gas usage by history chart.

- Help to verify the fullness of the gas bottle at 99.99% when buying a new bottle.

MYGAZ Concept

OUR MISSION:

To build an affordable gas bottle meter connected to a smart phone for effective and sustainable use of cooking gas for families in Africa.

Our time-line:

The funds we raise will cover the development of a fully working Minimum Viable Product. Based on the prototype we had designed, we have tested our system in real condition. We have a very large community around our innovation in Africa. The Startup is a winner of various competition in Cameroon.

Date Objectives
July - October 2018
Raising start-up on gogetfunding.
During this period, we will be components and accessories to produce at least 5 prototypes in China.

December - January 2019
The prototypes are ready, and up for shooting for promotion and marketing purposes.
March 2019
The Startup is receiving and delivering it's first orders.
April 2019
The Startup is analyzing customer's response, comments and feedbacks, adjusting if there are any problems.
July 2019
The Business is officially open and effective.

We need Your Help to make this product ready, to make the life of millions families better and Save life in Africa

So far we were financing the project ourselves but if we want to cover all expenses we need to increase our budget. We are really thankful for any amount that you are willing to donate to our cause.

THANK YOU!!!!
