We live in Ukraine. Me, my husband and daughter used to live in rented flat and tried to save some money to buy our own flat. When the war and crisis began, we had to move to my husband's mother. Saving money is out of the question now. We barely make ends meet. Things got worse when our daughter came down with pneumonia. She recovered, but we had to spend all our savings and even borrow money for that. Since then we live hand-to-mouth. We three have to live in 1(!) room about 15 sq.m. with 2 more persons (husband's mother and sister). Our space is two beds standing just edge-to-edge to each other. We eat sitting on the bed, cause we have no access to table. We cook at night, cause during the day the kitchen is occupied by mother-in-law. She has mental problems (senile marasmus) and is very agressive. She used to hate us absolutely even when she was healthy, now she has no social brakes, so she just behaves like a beast. She is dangerous for us and our child, we never leave our daughter along with her, cause we are afraid that she can do harm to her. Though we have no place to go, we even have no room to hide in, have to live five in one small room, with mentally unstable person. And that's so sad, that our little girl can see and hear this dirt. We are a good and loving family, daughter had never seen us fighting or yelling at each other, cause we never did. She had never knew vile curses untill we moved to this place. Now 50% of what she can hear is abuse from her "grandmother". My parents live in the town, which is constantly under fire, and cannot help me because they need help themselves... My husband lost his job because had to stay at home too often being afraid for my and daughter's safety. We've never asked for help, always tried to cope with problems by our own efforts. Now we're in despair. If just 5000 people could donate just 3 dollars, we'd have a sufficient amount to buy a small flat. Just imagine, it's less than one Big Mac for each of you, but this really means so much to us. I don't want to tell lies in some sob-story, I just beg for your help, being in need. And I hope, when we do well, we'll be able to help someone else in a similar way. Thank you for reading this and understanding.
