May 20, 2019 Nia’s diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The day when our world started crashing down. We felt devastated and heartbroken. fast forward, July 1, 2019, she was declared in remission, meaning she doesn’t have leukemia cells in her bone marrow.

Nia’s receiving maintenance chemotherapy from then on. 5 days before her graduation (Exit Bone Marrow Aspiration) We decided to check her CBC bcos it has been a month since her last CBC, but suddenly the rusults came back with remarks atypical mononuclear cells 37%. The next day the doctors performed Bone Marrow Aspiration immediately.

December 18, 2021, hardship hit our family again Bone Marrow Aspiration results showed 52.62% blasts which means her leukemia relapsed. And her Onco-Doctor determined that a Bone Marrow Transplant would be the best option for Nia to increase her chance of complete remission.

I never cried that much in life and I had to ask my husband to “wake me up. I know, I know i was just dreaming. please, please, please LORD!!!” repeatedly. After I was drenched in my own tears, God picked me up and rest assured me that he will transform my worst situation into something beautiful. God is working behind the scenes to turn your pain into hope.

In preparation of BMT, Nia underwent 2 cycles of Intensive Chemotherapy.

The possible stem cell donor was her nine-year-old sister but they did not matched. My Husband and I got tested also for HLA matching. Onco-Doctor says parents are always a half-match for their children, but the problem are we had antibodies against to Nia, so they will give antobodies -lowering drug for now, then proceed to pre-conditioning treatment and BMT.

As our family facing through very challenging situations, We would like to ask your willing and helping hearts to support our fundraising for Nia’s Bone Marrow Transplant. We believe that God will provide by using good souls to be channels of blessings, like you, Yes you. Thank you so much, may God return your generosity a thousandfold!
