Campaign Story
As the Coronavirus pandemic grips countries across the world, the healthcare systems of countries are already collapsing. So far, over 30,00,000 people have been infected by the virus and over 2,00,000 have lost their lives to it. As of now, we have two options: either we take appropriate measures now, or we will suffer a massive epidemic. In India, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, many around the country have been affected. We are facing emergency lockdowns to prevent the further spread of the disease. People in underprivileged communities are facing shortages of food, medicines, masks and dry rations. But the outbreak in India is still in its nascent stages as we have only had 52000+ Coronavirus cases reported so far. If we don’t act fast, things may spiral out of control and we may face a crisis like Iran and Italy where the entire healthcare system is overwhelmed due to the disease.
Amidst the coronavirus lockdown in India, it has adversely affected Lackhs of daily wage earners, servants, rickshaw pullers, daily labours, construction workers, balloon sellers and so on, we have no means of income to feed their families for the next few weeks.
The money raised will be used to :
- We are trying to help the families of these daily wage earners by supplying them with a Grocery Kit that can sustain their families for upcoming 2weeks, or even more than that.
- A Grocery Kit will be comprising sufficient quantities of Atta, Rice, Sugar, Dals, Oil, Soap Bars, Face mask, and disposal hand gloves to needy.
Each Grocery Kit will comprise of the following :
- Atta -5KG
- Rice -2KG
- Sugar- 1.5KG
- Toor Dal - 500 GM
- Cooking Oil- 1L
- Soap Bars -2 Pcs
- Face Mask - 2Pcs
- Disposable Hand Gloves - 2 Pairs
It will suffice the food requirements of a family of 4 for a week.
We have so far distributed the said kits to more than 3000+ families and would like to reach out to as many more than families as we can and request your humble support in this endeavor of ours.
Any donation towards this noble cause will help us reach out more people who desperately need this to stay alive.
