I am Ankit Mishra an account manager, I started my career in Delhi about 7 years ago. Life was good, it was all about buying expensive items and living a fancy life
My life changed completely when i brought home a 45-day-old Pitbull in 2018. A few months later, while i was walking my new dog, I saw a stray puppy that had barely survived the rains. I recall that rescuing this dog, whom we aptly named Charlie, was the beginning of it all. That incident changed me and turned me into a animal lover. The rescued dog melted my heart and I decided to bring any stray or abandoned dog home and in no time we rescued 8 dogs. As time went on the number grew.
In past 2 years we have gathered a small team to rescue street animals. Currently we feed around 140-160 street dogs every day. With 400+ rescues, 600+ treatments, approximately 40 resident dogs, we have cared for dogs in every kind of distress.
We have to leave our jobs to take care of the animals. After loosing our jobs it became more difficult to generate the amount needed to do the rescues. I sold my car, not just my cars, I literally sold everything including the shirt off my back. I had to keep generating the cash. So I sold everything. I mean first I sold my car then I sold my watch collection.
It’s very expensive, anybody who has a dog will know that at least 100-200$ you spend on a dog per month. Now multiply that by 40 dogs, then we also feed other street animals. Our expenses are close to 9000-10000$ a month
Our facility has saved a lot of animals from falling prey to cruelty. Every day, almost 100kgs of food is cooked to feed the residential dogs and the street animals. Currently with the limited space we can only accommodate dogs but we are planning to expand our area so that we can take in more animals. We take in almost every kind of dog who needs help- diseased dogs, those hit by vehicles, those having maggot wounds, and those with disabilities..
Your support will ensure that we can provide the best quality care to our dogs, helping them live a happy and healthy life. Please donate generously.
