I hate to have to do this but...after months of struggle, my daughter and I are finally in a place of our own, but it seems like I just can't seem to shake off my lousy luck. The day after we moved, my car died, the starter having given out completely. I had intended to get a new one but then I discovered that our new place had a flea infestation that I had to try to get rid of myself since the landlord was out of the country on holiday. Then, I got pneumonia. After that, my phone stopped working and I had to replace it. Then came the power bill. Because this is the first time a power bill has ever been in my name, the power company requires a $200 security deposit. Then when the landlord was finally back and flea bombed the place, he left all the lights in the apartment on and the heaters and bathroom fan on for 12 hours. That, paired with the high fever that I had with the pneumonia which required that I leave the heater on constantly for the whole week resulted in a pretty hefty power bill.
Because of the severity of the fibromyalgia, I can't do any of the jobs that I have experience doing so I'm currently enrolled in school to get an IT certification and am looking at a paid internship starting after I graduate the course this summer. My daughter goes to an amazing school in the town that we moved from and because we started in the district, they're willing to transport her. Except for on certain days when they don't and my daughter has to miss out on school.
If I can get a new starter for my car and get my power bill taken care of, I'd be mobile again and wouldn't have to worry about relying on an unreliable bus driver.
I know I can do an amazing job, I just need a little boost.
