Help us spend Christmas with our Mom

Help us spend Christmas with our mom by helping us get her out of the hospital as soon as possible.

Our grandma, Romualda (known as Ruby to her kumares and Roming to her relatives), is the matriarch of Del Castillo family residing in Novaliches, Quezon City. To everyone of us, she's a mom. She took care of her kids, kids of her kids, and kids of her grandkids. All of us grew up with her, sent to their house every time our parents leave for work. She maybe the conventional housewife but what makes her unique are her excellent cooking skills (she specializes in Ilocano dishes as she's a true-blue Ilocana), her flair for fashion (she sewn most of our clothes and home economics' project), her witty jokes and generous smile (which is evident in most of her photos and people she met).

This 2019, we are greatly challenged by hospital bills for our mom. After more than a decade of fighting kidney disease, she's again admitted to the hospital, but this December is like no other. She had to undergo exploratory laparotomy, a surgical operation wherein her abdomen was opened and organs were examined. This was a risk we took as she was at the state of 50-50. We chose not to give up on her as she never did for us. However, our hospital bill blew up to 300K (not including medicines we have to maintain yet) as of this writing and is critical to go up as we extend more days.

We don't know how long our mom will stay with us but we want to cherish and celebrate Christmas together at our Home just like the old times - a simple present we know she'd love to have.
