The mission of Outward Bound South Africa is to transform individuals and groups to achieve their best. We equip people with the character, will, values and self-belief to live their lives to the full and to consistently make the right choices.We aim to transform communities through the influence of transformed individuals.

The youth of our country coming out of school and heading into tertiary education are often not fully prepared for what lies ahead.Outward Bound offers programmes for them to move completely out of their comfort zones, to go on a Journey of Self Discovery and to prepare themselves for what lies ahead.

Unfortunately the young people who benefit the most from these programmes cannot afford them and we are calling on you for your help! Please be part of the change we need to see in our country and help us send the entire Grade 11 class of Queens Park High to Sedgefield to experience a life-changing 3 day Outward Bound programme.

During their time at Outward Bound, the students will perform challenges that they never thought possible and learn more about themselves and their own abilities than they ever knew before. The course will take place at the Outward Bound base outside of Sedgefield on the Swartvlei and in the Outeniqua Mountains where the students will learn to work as a team and to build on their own, and those of the team mates, strengths and weaknesses.

Outward Bound is the largest non-profit, experiential education organisation in the world. Using adventure and the outdoors, Outward Bound courses have a powerful impact on the lives of participants.Working on the premise that ‘we are all better than we know’, Outward Bound programmes transform lives.
