Me and my girlfriend recently acquired a "new" home from her family, which is a huge fixer-upper. If you ever saw the classic movie "Moneypit" with Tom Hanks then that is the best description I can give. We want to make the place in a livable condition for us to be able to properly reside in. We are trying to get grants, 203K loans, housing repair loans, etc... but all of the approvals from banks will take time to process it. Until then, we need to attend to the roof, plumbing, electricity, and much more for this old 94 year old home.
Our main goal is not only to make the place habitable for ourselves, but we want to also provide a lodging option for vacationers through several websites. The place has 3 floors and a basement and the first 2 floors will be used. The 3rd floor will be the vacation place for anyone planning on visiting Chicago. We will be providing rewards for those that can help us get the funding needed.
