Help us raise funds for my sister Manilie

Family and friends,

My name is Jonalie A. Pajares. I am the elder sister of Manilie. Currently, I am a junior high school teacher in a public school in Las Piñas City, Philippines.

Please help us raise funds for my sister (Manilie V. Andrada) .

My sister is suffering from Lupus since 2005 -- also known as systemic lupus erythematosus -- is a disease of the immune system. Normally, the immune system protects the body from infection. In lupus, however, the immune system inappropriately attacks tissues in various parts of the body. This abnormal activity leads to tissue damage and illness.

And now, she was diagnosed with kidney stones that requires her to undergo operation to remove those stones. While conducting some tests to get her clearance for her kidney operation, we found out that she’s also suffering from pneumonia, enlargement of the heart and hypothyroidism. These need to be treated before she can proceed with her kidney operation. She is currently being observed in the intensive care unit (ICU). These illnesses are complications caused by her 14 years of battle with Lupus.

My father, Manuel M. Andrada Jr. Is an operator in a semiconductor company while my mother, Arleen V. Andrada, is a stay-at-home mom. It is very difficult to make ends meet with our current financial status. That’s why we are humbly asking for everyone’s help to support Manilie financially, since it’s impossible for us to afford her treatment and operation. The kidney operation requires us to prepare roughly three hundred thousand pesos (PHP 300,000), that does not include the expenses to treat her pneumonia, enlargement of the heart and hypothyroidism. Like what was mentioned earlier, she’s been fighting lupus for 14 years now and this long run of continuous treatment exhausted us financially. Any means of help and any amount would be highly appreciated.
