Hello! Marisa and I are senior year nursing students who are planning on going to Guatemala to provide healthcare. We have both worked with the homeless population in Portland, OR and found a love working in that community. We spent time volunteering with Transition Projects where we administered vaccines and TB tests. We also volunteered at St.Andre Bessette where we served food, took blood pressures, and provided health education. We hope to carry the passion we found in our previous experiences with us to other communities in need. Through International Volunteer HQ we will be working in underserved clinics in Antigua, Guatemala for a week in December. We are paying for this trip out of pocket, and as college students that can be a big hinderance. If you are able to help support us financially, that would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can't support us financially, we welcome any encouraging words. Thank you ahead of time!
