HELP US PRESERVE TRIKA MAHASIDDHA YOGA

Help us Build Our Training Center!

Dear Community of Practice,

We request your collaboration with the intention of expanding our current center in Costa Rica so as to preserve and disseminate the Trika Mahāsiddha Yoga tradition. Your support will help build a teaching & practice platform and three rooms for long-stay students.

We Envision

A Yogashala – Shala is a Sanskrit word that means “home” or “abode.” It is a gathering place for students for the practice of meditation and yoga.

Long Term Retreat Huts – Retreat huts will provide a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the practices of Trika Mahāsiddha Yoga in a beautiful and undistracted environment.

A Large Teaching Room – This space will provide room for up to 40 students to receive formal teachings and instruction, as well as practice the yogic methodologies of the tradition (which requires more space than the current teaching room provides).

Location

Uvita, Costa Rica

The Non Dual Meditation and Yoga Tradition

Trika Mahāsiddha Yoga is an Oral Practice Tradition, a System of Non Dual Meditation and Yogic Exercises derived from the great traditions of Indian Tantrik-Yoga, Bönpo Dzogchen, Vajrayana, and Zhengyi Daoism.

This tradition has not been recorded in book form. It has been handed down from teacher to student for hundreds, possibly thousands of years, and it encompasses the science of meditation, a comprehensive guiding philosophy and inner alchemy – with the sole purpose of maximizing our human potential of mind and body to become good human beings radiant with Love, Wisdom and Compassion.

The TMY curriculum is comprised of one or more of five sub-paths chosen by the student according to their aptitudes and interests. Students can study both online and in person. Receiving in-person teachings and attending retreats is particularly important for the preservation of the integrity of this tradition.

The Way of Water is a path of devotion. Practice is centered around performing simple rituals at home consisting of prayers, chants, mantra repetition, studying view, contemplation, meditation, and attending teacher’s discourses online or in person when possible.

The Way of Fire emphasizes mastery of Yogic Body-Energy Practice and higher meditation techniques. Training includes a yogic lifestyle and conduct training of the Hero/ine disposition, a strong emphasis on non-attachment, and a pragmatic philosophy (not comprehensive, not scholarly or academic), leading to demonstrable results of practice without doubts at each distinct stage of realization.

The Way of Meditation is utilized in both the water and fire paths, but it is also a stand-alone path of full realization. There are four levels of practice and realization journeyed through using 25 sequential meditation techniques and relevant teachings.

The Way of the Warrior involves learning the the Integration Meditations of Virtuous-Heroic Conduct as well as some specific awareness & meditation training exercises specific only to the Way of the Warrior tradition. This is embedded in physical training in “Energy-Body Making” and martial arts.

The Path of Ultimate Intimacy is a path for any practitioner-couple, that makes use of the “inner”, “secret” and “most profound” levels of the teachings & practices applied in the context of a committed love relationship. Partners are co-practitioners with the goal of a mutually shared fruit of realization.

How to Donate

You can donate through the Crowdfunding page*.

*we are receiving donations in New Taiwanese Dollar with the help of a student since Costa Rica is not a supported country in the crowdfunding platform. If you need a currency converter click this link: https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/

Goal

Our Goal is US$25000 for the land and all tax and fees involved.

That's € 23303 and NT$ 740000.

Help us Preserve the Trika Mahasiddha Yoga Oral Practice Tradition

We would love to have a bigger venue to be able to share this tradition with more people. Our current teaching center holds only 20 students maximum and seated close together. The acquisition of an adjacent piece of land would allow us to host larger groups and students wishing to undergo solo retreats.

In the past, communities would recognize the value of spiritual teachings and the services being offered to the community and the public and would get together to support it, taking care of its financial needs, thus maintaining the basis for preserving and spreading the tradition and its benefits.

Through your generous support, may all beings be benefited!
