Tranby’s archives hold one of the biggest collections of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island records and artefacts outside the State Library. The Tranby Archives preserve and provide access to the permanent records of Tranby. These are authentic records that document and illustrate the life and times of Tranby, its students, staff, activities and governance. The collection reflects the working life, achievements and celebrations of Tranby and Indigenous recent history since the 1950s.
We are launching an exciting project to bring our collection online and digitise our comprehensive and large collection of materials. This project will involve transcribing our collection of diaries, letters, manuscripts, newspaper clippings, photos and records as well as editing and correcting transcriptions material.
With your donations we will:
- Purchase equipment
- Digitize the library collection;
- Make parts of our collection publicly available
- Replace the library air conditioning system to protect our collection.
