We are reaching out on this because we thought it was worth trying out and we don’t know what else to do. Our family has been hit with a period of really bad luck. Our mother was diagnosed with cancer and was able to beat it. Fast forward 5 years later and she was once again diagnosed with cancer but this time it was high grade, which was cause by the radiation from the first cancer. While battling with insurance over whether or not it was a pre-existing condition (which we lost) she started treatment at MD Anderson which is not cheap. While there we made the decision to put all of the living out of a hotel room for 9 weeks, medical bills, food, and other expenses on credit cards because the health of her is more important than the cost. Well while doing that we rang up a huge bill on credit cards and it crippled us to the point of bankruptcy. She is now 6 years out and cancer free which is great but we are currently renting (bad credit and no saving) and found out that the owners are going to be selling the house and we have to figure out a way to buy it or move. We do not have enough money for the 20% down payment and we have not been able to find anything else in the area that is within our budget that is 4 bedroom 2 or 3 baths. We live in a college town and everyone caters to the college kids as far as rent goes. We also would rather not move our kids to another school area. The money we are asking for would cover the 20% down payment and closing costs of this house. Again we are just trying for any help at all to get us closer to the house we live in and love.
