Campaign Story
Fallen Angels Pet Rescue is a search and rescue shelter for injured and abandoned dogs and cats in Melkbosstrand in South Africa’s Western Cape, a rural area with a large population of poor people.
Fallen Angels is home to 310 dogs and 20 cats, all of which are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated and available for adoption. Staffed by volunteers and a small work team, the shelter provides an essential service, without which many dogs would die.
Fallen Angels Pet Rescue is in dire need of funds to cover their outstanding veterinary bills! Their vets treat over 100 animals a month with care ranging from emergency operations to wound care, vaccinations, sterilizations and routine medical treatments. We currently have an outstanding vet bill of R150,000.
They could not help the large amount of animals that they do without their loyal vets 24 hour availability and excellent care. They are charged welfare rates so receive treatments cheaper than the private person, but with the amount of starved, neglected and abandoned animals they rescue, the bills still rise!

Isaac - he was in such a bad state we were told by a supporter to put him to sleep but we saw such a fighting spirit that we could not let him down.
