Help us help Shawn and his family for Christmas

I am trying to raise money for a very close family friend and their son. Shawn is 4 years old and has Ulcerative colitis. (Ulcerative colitis is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the lining of the large intestine (colon) and rectum.) He has been in and out of the hospital for blood transfusions, medicine, and treatments for too long now. The Children's hospital has tried every treatment possible for Shawn for the past couple years and he is the only 4 year old case they have had. On November 18th he had major surgery to remove his colon, large intestine and appendix. The surgery went well and he was able to go home for Thanksgiving. He has been so brave through everything and accepting of him having a bag and never complaining. Shawn has taught all of us what a strong person is! He is truly a blessing to his whole family and friends. The family has been in and out of the hospital so much that they are so behind on the household finances and not to mention Christmas coming! Last night he was rushed back to Boston by ambulance for a complication with his intestine. They were able to correct it without surgery and he is stable, but he is still in the hospital being monitored.
