It was an early Saturday morning and five year-old Annabelle searched her backyard for her friend, Max her dachshund puppy. She frantically looked beneath the stairs. When she saw him squirm from underneath the porch, her little face lit up with a big smile…..now that’s love at its best.  That’s why we do what we do!  We are currently raising funds for Annie, the dachshund born with deformed front legs, we want to help her get a cart so she can buzz around with all her little playmates!  We were happy to be a part of rehoming her through Dachshund World Re-home Assistance. Annie was adopted by Kay Baxter Hatton and is a big girl now, ready to start driving. We are trying to help her get the wheelchair that she needs. Princessa (pictured above)  is in extreme need of dental work. Her mouth hurts constantly, and she cries from the pain. Linda cannot afford the $600 and she is at the point of desperation. Rather than watch her baby suffer, she was at the point of considering euthanasia. We don't want that to happen. We are trying to help provide her that surgery, so that she may live a healthy and happy life. Amber (the lovely red long hair girl above) was rescued by Gina and Frank peters and has really been through some tough times. Severely infected teeth were in need of extraction, but first the infection had to be treated. The infection did not respond to oral antibiotics, and continued to worsen. After several trips to the hospital, and treatment with intravenous antibiotics the infection was finally controlled to the point where the teeth could be extracted. Amber is now on the mend. However, it was discovered that Amber has bladder stones, in need of surgical removal. We are trying to help provide her that surgery. You can help now with a donation in our Dachshund World Facebook Auctions! I am writing this letter on behalf of Dachshund World Charities, all of the beautiful Dachshunds that depend on the work that we do.  Dachshunds are lovable, playful companions, and an ideal pet for many homes, including those with children. Here at A Dachshund World Charites, our mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life of animals by providing access to necessary medical care and education.  According to the Humane Society, animal neglect can be deliberate or simply failing to care for an animal, either way is heartbreaking and causes a defenseless animal to suffer.  Our goal is to help people, help pets because we envision a world where all pets live happy, healthy, fulfilling and long lives. Each day we aim to promote awareness and to provide education on preventive and holistic resources so that our pets may live pain free lives.  We however do realize that despite all of our loving efforts, animals may still become injured or ill. In this sad but true case, our website provides information on everything from home care to a listing of local veterinarians and other resources. You see, we are more than just dog owners, we are dog lovers.  We hope that you can find it in your heart to support us in our efforts to make life for these little dachshunds healthy and safe.  A gift of any amount would be appreciated. A tax donation receipt will be provided upon request for donations more than USD$25.00.  This is your chance to give a little love. Donation Rewards
