Campaign Story
Camp Ten Trees is a nonprofit organization offering summer camp sessions in the Pacific Northwest, featuring a week for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and allied (LGBTQA) youth, and a week for children and youth of LGBTQ and/or non-traditional families. Since their first session in 2001, they have been committed to developing a camp community that honors creativity, individual choice, and community living. Summer sessions and year-round complementary activities are for youth connected to LGBTQ communities and provide opportunities for campers to strengthen inner courage, make new friends, and develop leadership skills through traditional camp programming.
Brenna and Lisa have been selected to work these summer sessions which will require some funding from our very supportive community. Costs will include flights to and from Seattle as well as food and transportation once we are there. We will also be covering costs of our apartments in Chicago during the month of August while we are gone. Thank you for showing interest in our cause. We are so excited for the opportunity to volunteer and we are certain that we will come back touched and transformed by the stories we hear and the experiences we have.

Sending prayers for an experience unlike an other. Wishing you both a great time. While there, you may get a glimpse of how much the campers touch your lives (when you thought you are there to help them). Share your stories, song, and skits. Impact often is not felt till much later when the kids/adults go home. Have a safe trip and enjoy. wish I could go (minus the mosquitos). love you both, Mom/Maryjo xoxoxo

Lisa and Brenna, My warm-hearted, passionate, loving ladies. First of all, I MISS YOU! I want to hear about all the lives you're touching, and all the things you're learning out in Seattle. I wish I could've experienced it first hand! I want you both to know I couldn't be more happy to help two LBGT activists that are near and dear to my heart. You both have completely blown me out of the water with the love and passion you're pouring out to the world in more ways than one. You're both beautiful inside and out. Love you, John
