Hello, my name is Saira Brown. I want to tell you why we need your help to get us home.
October 24, 2009 my father, Greg Brown had his first massive heart attack. The doctors said that he had one of the worst type heart attacks, a Widow maker. They also said that 6 out of 500 people make it. My father had coded for 10 minutes . Man was that one of the worst days of our families life.
Two years later, my father got fungal pneumonia, he had ended up in ICU. The doctors told my mom to call the family in because they didn't think that he would make it. He had holes the size of a softball in his lungs, the doctors told my dad that they would have to take half of his lung out. Then a couple days later, the doctor came back and my dad didn't have a single hole in either of his lungs. Now if you ask me, God was on his side. My dads doctor had told my mom that he wouldn't be able to come home for christmas. That crushed my brother and I. On December 21, 2011 my father got to come home. We didn't have but a few things under the tree, but that was okay. My dad came home.
Now during this time my dad was in ICU, my brother and I had to stay with my grandma while my mom was staying at the hospital with my dad. We had two dogs at the time also, and since my dad was in the hospital we were never home to let them out. My brother and my uncle had to burn everything we owned because my dad couldn't be around mold. They tore up the carpet in our living room and bedrooms burned our couches and much more.
October 10, 2012 my father had his second widow maker. He coded for 5 minutes and was put on life support. The doctors had told my mom that he might not make it this time. My father was on life support for 24 hours. Around the time my dad had his heart attack, the flu was going around badly, the doctors wouldn't let us into the hospital to see our dad. I can remember standing outside his room window on the phone with him and him standing at the widow waving at us. It's hard not being able to see your dad while he's in the hospital.
July 2017 we found out that my dad has 4th stage kidney failure. His function levels are 27% . He struggles everyday. He can't do as much as he use to because of his kidneys. He can't work. My mother is the only one working. It's hard to sit there and watch your dad hurt, and be in pain. I wish I could take it away from him.

It's been 7 years since we've lived in our house, and let me tell you, it's really hard. I'm thankful for my grandma, for her letting us stay in her house for the last 7 years.
So I'm asking, my family is asking, please help us go home. Thank you.

April 28, 2018. My father Gregory Brown passed away due to his 3rd heart attack. Our family still isn’t home but he was working on our house for the last couple months. We really need help getting home. Thank you so much.

My father has been gone for 2 months now. Ever since he’s been gone there have been people trying to break into our home. There isn’t much in it to take so it wouldn’t be worth their time, but they know that their is no one living in it so they continue no matter how many time we have called the police. We are trying our hardest to go home. Will you please help us?
