Help Us Get to the East Coast-Home and Community

Greetings!

I am a single mom raising two daughters. We have currently lived on the West Coast for 8 years, but want to move back closer to home. As the housing "boom" has made it impossible to live here, and we miss our family, we are reaching out to those who can appreciate what it means to be near loved ones.

I am currently involved in various community service where we now live, and hope to make a positive impact on our new community in regards to volunteering. I have experience in organic gardening, teaching ESL, conflict resolution, forming committee's and groups for change; putting together benefits, homelessness & hunger issues as well as ending domestic violence. I am also a MH therapist, holistic consultant and a Reiki Practitioner.

Our hope is to be able to move, rent an affordable place we can call home, be near family so we can share our lives and do things together again, as well as give back to the community we live in. My two youngest daughters sadly did not grow up around their older sister & brother, nor now, new nieces and nephew, as my life circumstances and a job opportunity brought me out here. With all the new babies back east, it is truly where our hearts are at. The distance is too far and too expensive to travel much to be together, and I would like to change that.

While I have been trying to save up for the past year for a moving truck and rental deposit for moving back east, it seems that everything just keeps getting more expensive and it is difficult to do so. Any help you can so graciously offer to help us move closer to family would be so appreciated, and we will always "pay it forward"!
