Survivor paralized kitten needs help.

Ginny, formerly called JJ since we didn’t know the gender at first, was one of the stray cats that my brother loved feeding in our mother’s garage. My brother would often leave out cat food/excess food for the stray cats that visit their garage.

One day in September, he saw one of the kittens he fed stuck under a rock in a ditch in front of their house. The kitten looked like her lower half body was badly injured and she was in so much pain. He felt so bad for the kitten that he and my nephew worked together to put her in a box and fed her yummy food. Afraid she wouldn’t survive due to all of her wounds, he reached out to me, knowing how much my boyfriend and I love cats, to ask if it was going to survive or if it was even safe to touch her.

He didn’t have the budget for the vet and was just really sorry for the poor kitty, saying that the kitten was no longer able to leave their house and was just waiting for her time to end.

When I saw her for the first time, I felt so heart broken that, even though I didn’t plan on adding more cats because we already had 3 and we were in between moving, my boyfriend and I decided to take her in. I didn’t know if she was going to survive or not, I just wanted to help her feel more comfortable. We had her separated from our other cats in the beginning, until we had her checked by the vet. We were very low on cash so I asked PAWS Philippines if they had/know a vet nearby that can give discounts to rescue pets.

They referred us to Kings Road Veterinary Clinic Daang Hari. They graciously gave us a discount with the xray, consultation and even cleaned her up. They said that she has a fracture on her lower spine but since she was still young, there was a chance for her to walk again. She also had urine scalding, an infection on her skin caused by being too drenched in her own urine and stool. We bought all the prescribed meds and took our time in her getting to know us, cleaning her, and providing her food. She always had a big appetite, and an inspiring fighting spirit. By the time her urine scalding was healed, our vet told us we can let her wear diapers from time to time because she needs to move her legs to have a chance on using them again. She is a lot healthier now than before, but due to her condition, she often gets different kinds of infection on the lower half of the body. Now we don’t have any problems with feeding her and our other 3 cats everyday. They also get vitamins and, have already gotten vaccinated and dewormed. But due to her being a special needs cat, most of our budget for our cats are already being used on her. We still haven’t been able to buy her a pet wheel chair, let alone, update her medications. She really is a survivor, and a fighter and we want her to have a chance to walk and run again, may it be on 3 or 4 legs. She is the sweetest cat I know. She makes us really feel her gratitude for saving her life. Please help us be able to make it an actual life for her by any amount you can. The vet told us before that it was possible that someone hit her with a hard object on her spine that’s why she ended up this way. Please help us help this innocent creature have a good life again.
