We are raising money to buy FLIR (forward looking infra red) devices to help find lost pets at night and donate them to local animal control agencies. There they can be borrowed by animal control officers in the surrounding communities to help locate lost pets.
Over the past few months I have noticed a plethora of lost pets. As a pet owner I would be devastated if my dog ever got lost. Recently a good friend of mine Steve Baglioni lost his dog Loona and I have spent hours and hours helping him look for it. I've mostly gone at night because the reflection from a dogs eyes, or cats, makes them easier to find. At one point I said to myself "This would be much easier if I had a hand held FLIR (Forward Looking Infra Red) device." You could literally drive around and look for the heat signature of a lost pet almost anywhere they are hiding. You see FLIR devices, although a bit larger, on helicopters and other rescue vehicles. What is amazing is that they make them hand held. What an awesome tool for looking for lost pets. I would like to raise money to buy some and donate these devices to local animal control officers and local lost pet agencies. If we find even one lost pet it would be worth it. Thank you for your help and I hope we can make this happen. As a note...Loona Has been found!!!!!!!!
