Help us fight GENDER BASED VIOLENCE

Phillipi Tv is a non-profit organisation that develops skills of individuals from 5 years to 25 year olds from the disadavantaged communities.We run free workshops where they are trained on making films,theatre perfomance,doing music,dance & poetry.They make their movies,music and dance shows and they are all broadcasted on Channel 263/Cape Town Tv.They are not getting paid to do this but it's for the love of art.

We are currently running a No Fist No Cry campaign and as part of the campaign,In September we will be shooting a feature film called Langa (Sun) that will be screened in the communities that are mainly affected by Gender Based Violence for educational purposes and on our platforms.The story follows a young girl’s life called Langa (9) who grew up in an abusive home with her Mother and Stepfather.As she grows up she struggles to focus on life as her past starts to haunt her.The story revolves mainly on Langa’s life when she’s 18 showing the after effect of GBV in our communities and on her life.
