Help Us Feed Them During Lockdown!

Pongola Community Centre is a multi-purposed non-profit community-based organization in the Northern KwaZulu-Natal. The organisation is official registered for NPO Status [189-739], approved as a Public Benefit Organization PBO Status [9300-60671]. We are fundraising for an urgent need of food groceries for our children in the community described bellow!

Candover Area is lying along N2 east of Pongola, KZN. The socio-economic status of these area is very bad, stricken by extremely poverty leading to many children dropout school at about ages of 14/15 in pursuit for work in the nearest farms. Also, of 20 Candover households, at least 10 families have more than one family members on ARVs and many others depend on chronic medication, less than 10% are in formal employment, majority are seasonal farm workers. It is sad but true that 75% of people here depends of Child Support grants and Old Age Pension of which many are child headed. With the Shutdown, many families are indoors hungry!
