Help us feed and treat strays

Stray cats in Cyprus are a huge problem and unfortunately lots of kittens and cats die all the time either being run over in the streets or because of neglect, abandoning no medication, food and water. All people caring for cats try our best but being able to pay for everything is almost impossible.

Some of these people caring for Cyprus' stray cats years now really need help. These women cared for thousands of animals for over 20 years now in various areas with abandoned animals, and in the ''Cat House of Lillies'' with about 200 animals that was named after these women with incredible kind hearts: First Lily who started it all (shortly after arriving on the island about 20 years ago), second Lily who overtook it and is lately taking care of all these animals mostly alone, while the first one is fighting a serious decease and going through a long treatment abroad... Third Lily who's also an animal lover and used to help us a lot, but has lots of own animals to take care of at the moment... Lily was apparently a very popular girl's name about 40-50 years ago :)

It isn't an official shelter and is run and supported by only a few people. It exists in Limassol (Cyprus) for many years now, but never went public. As people who started it - Lily and her husband Vladimir, and volunteers who helped them, manage to provide it all from their own funds and didn't ask for any financial help. But lately, due to the illness and problems with work of the main providers which drained their pockets completely, we need help and support so our animals don't get back to the streets... It's hard to ask for help and we're probably not good at that, but we are struggling every month to pay the rent and feed the animals. Not only the ones in ''Cat house of Lillies'' but also in many other areas where there is need. Nothing is left for the veterinary help and our debt at the vet is already so high they don't give us credit anymore...

Help even with the smallest amount to save more innocent lives. We know that everybody has lots of expenses and it is very hard to donate much but If people just donate only 1 euro then am sure the support would be enough to keep us going.
