Asylum Links' information outreach project has been initiated as an online service to make reliable information as accessible as possible to refugees and migrants. Forced migration and internal displacement is one of the protracted crises of our time. Trustworthy and accurate resources are essential for refugees and asylum seekers to consolidate their rights when navigating a new landscape. Mobile phones are a critically important tool for refugees and migrants: Information is aid and this is the crux of our mission.

Since 2016, over 40,000 people have used our information in 13 countries in Europe, the Middle East and South America. We have had more than 4000 direct conversations with individuals and families about their rights and options. We want to continue to expand so that we can provide the same quality of service to even more people. However, for this we need your support.

Our online campaigns enable refugees and migrants to ask us the important questions that they want to know. We want our information to be as up-to-date and relevant as possible, so that we can tailor our service to each and every client. An ever evolving sociopolitical landscape means we require volunteers on the ground to be knowledgable of changing processes and procedures. It also allows us to connect our clients with local organisations.

With the money we have received since the project has started we have managed to pay expenses to volunteers on the ground. Subsequently, they have helped recruit and mentor a further pool of volunteers to join us in our work to achieve our goal and expand our outreach. With some more help, we would also like to have the resources to have all our inboxes monitored 24/7.

Our aim is to continue to help displaced people consolidate their rights within their host populations; to feel safe and make informed decisions about long-term challenges.

Thank you for your time! Your help will make a difference to the lives of refugees and migrants and help them rebuild their lives by allowing us to offer a service that has the resources to provide nuanced and well researched support.
