Hello, our names are Phoebe and Zac! We are an adventurous, young couple from Melbourne Australia passionate about travel, animals and most of all helping others. We are striving to volunteer in Africa in January 2020 for a month and plan to help educate the less fortunate children and broaden the horizons of the students. Our world is facing the issue of poor education in third world countries and we are striving to make a difference to the lives of the African children.
The program is located in Arusha, Tanzania where we will work in a school teaching subjects, such as English, Math and possibly Science, Social Studies, Art and Physical Education. Their exposure to native English speakers assists them in improving their English, which can help them gain more opportunities in their futures. We have always been enthusiastic about travelling to a third-world country to teach those who do not have access to education and we are dedicated to making this dream a reality.
The funds will go towards:
- Program fees (incl. accommodation, placement and some meals)
- Registration fee
- Travel Insurance (mandatory)
- Background checks
We have recently graduated from school and are finally able to pursue this once in a lifetime opportunity. We enjoy experiencing different cultures, food, history and most of all interacting with the local people and communities. Education is highly valued in the communities of Africa as the upcoming generations are crucial to the future evolvement of Africa.
We promise we will update you throughout our journey through social media, photos and many videos! We would like to thank each of you for taking the time to read this and we hope you can contribute to helping us achieve our altruistic dream!
Every dollar counts! We will be transforming lives and building brighter futures- but without you, this would not be possible. Thank you in advance for your support!!
P.S: Any extra donations will be put towards the children and animals of Tanzania. We will be sure to update you on what your donations have achieved for us and the difference you have made to the lives of the children of Tanzania.
