Campaign Story
Goodman is a 33 year old South African from Du Noon in Cape Town, who has been our gardener in Richwood for the past three years. He only has a standard three education and he lost both his parents at a very young age.
Because of Goodman's loyalty, to not only us, but to all the families he works for, we would like to give him an opportunity to earn a better income and create a more sustainable livelihood. In doing so, we would like to send him on a rope access course, where he could become a rope access technician and be able to progress further from there.
The course is internationally recognized through IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association). The cost of the course is R10 000 and runs over a course of six days, and with this qualification he will be a qualified level 1 rope access technician. There is already a job available for him when he achieves this qualification, where he will be earning much more than he currently is.
Goodman has good heart and is very hard-working, always doing his best, and providing something like this is just a small token of our gratitude. Please help us raise money to give him this opportunity.
