Help us continue doing what we love

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for clicking on this fundraiser! It really means the world to me!

I would like to introduce myself and the reason why I have decided to create this fundraiser.

My name is Christina and I am a part of the official F2D team of Hungary.

Our team consists of three senior pilots, one junior pilot, and two mechanics.

Unfortunately, this type of sport is not quite known around the world. Which is why it is often times neglected and looked down upon.

I have found out about it 7 years ago when I went to my first competition. I was quite taken aback by it immediately and I couldn’t wait to try it myself. People are still quite surprised that a girl could actually like something so boyish. But I just can’t imagine my life without it.

In 2014 we had won the World Championship in Poland, in fact, it was the first time ever that Hungary had won in this category!

Despite our success in smaller competitions as well, our only sponsor is my father who happens to be our mechanic.

Lots of money is spent on models, engines and other necessities for each pilot; including entry fees for competitions, accommodations, travel expenses, and so on. It is getting pretty hard on my father to continue sponsoring our team but if he stops completely, I am afraid we will be incapable of competing and doing what we truly love and are passionate about.

We are currently raising money for the next championship which will be held in Bulgaria next year on the 14th of July.

The donated money will be spent on the entry fee and on travel expenses. The entry fee varies from year to year. Last year it was 295€ for seniors, 100€ for juniors, and 50€ for each mechanic.

And even though I am very ashamed of asking for help knowing that there are people who need it more than I do, I would still like to ask you to support my team. It would really mean a lot to us.
