Dear all ,
my name is Ivan (24) and I live in a small village on a hill called Gornji Polici in the town of Posusje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am the youngest resident of a village of just over 40 people. We live a modest life full of everyday problems, but our biggest problem is the road that is worn out, and in winter when it snows it is impossible to drive any means of transport.
My neighbors and residents of this village face the problem of going to work and returning to their homes. Sometimes they can't fulfill their business obligations for weeks, which endangers their position at work and their entire family existence.
We also have a big problem with the water that flows from the nearby hills exactly on the road when it is raining, in winter when the temperatures are low, the water is freezing and it is very dangerous to walk on that road, let alone drive a car. Some parts of the road are so bad that they are on the verge of collapsing and preventing traffic.
Aware of the danger we are in day by day, I decided to contact the authorities responsible for road maintenance, but I was told that the road is very bad and that they can not help because the reconstruction of the 1.5 km long road is very expensive (55.000 Euro) and they do not have funds for the restoration of the same.
Of course, it is understandable because the maintenance of the road leading to our homes is done by ourselves from our own income and no one cares how 40 of us live in such conditions, so I decided to take the last step and turn to people of good will. I ask all of you who can help in any way, my locals and I would be very grateful. THANK YOU!!!
