Whilst battling cancer, Becs Zammit Lupi campaigned tirelessly for ill students to be able to follow lessons online from their sick bed to keep a sense of normality in their lives. She also managed to collect a substantial amount of funds in aid of cancer patients from her own hospital bed.

She had great potential and would have done great things in her life had she been given the chance. It is so apt that a school in Ethiopia is being built and named after this little warrior with an unstoppable fighting spirit who took her education seriously till the very end.

In May 2022 I will be participating in an organized Camino di Santiago on behalf of the Sigma Foundation in order to raise funds for this cause. It is an honour and a privilege for me to be a part of this for Becs. I am sure that it will be some bitter-sweet consolation for her dear parents to have their beautiful daughter’s memory live on in a school in Ethiopia named after her.

I would appreciate your help by donating any amount, big or small towards this cause. I will be funding my own Camino journey so all proceeds received will be passed on with the purpose of building this school.

Thank you so much in advance.
