Hello Friends

My name is Ireti....it means "Hope" and I am appealing to everyone with a heart to help support a "dying" breed.....The West African Youth (W.A.Y).

I use the term 'dying', tongue-in-cheek but also with a heavy heart.

This campaign is set up to raise Business Start-Up funds for at least 100 W.A.Ys.

THE PROBLEM......

You see, the average West African Youth or WAY has little or no hopes for a job after graduating University.

Some don't even have the funds to study at University in the first place and for them, the journey stops before it even begins!

And a high percentage drop out of School for lack of funds.

Most Employers in some parts of West Africa peg the age of new recruits at 25years old.

Now, normally this shouldn't be an issue EXCEPT the educational system mostly has failed our youth and most graduate between the ages of 27 and 30!

A series of strikes, closures and an impossible entry system to study at a university all combine to make it a near impossibility to fit into the "employable" age and makes most of our youth automatically ineligible to apply for jobs.

So we are left with youths compromising by lying on their job applications by reducing their ages to suit the circumstances they find themselves in, but the truth is this: THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH JOBS AVAILABLE TO START WITH!!!

Because of this, most W.A.Ys have now begun to look into starting their own businesses, which is absolutely fantastic BUT comes with its own issues like....

Funding, Educational lessons on Business Start-Ups, Entrepreneurship Training, Mentorship, Running a successful business...

The list is endless

THE SOLUTION.....

My partners and I are collaborationg with local businesses to help train youths by apprenticeships and internships.

Also, we organise weekly trainings on Tangible and 'Intangible but Valuable' business skills like:

*Businesses that can be started with $500 and below

*How to cut down overheads and unnecessary business expenses

*Building an excellent customer database and good customer support?client services

*Using Social Media Platforms effectively for Advertising and Marketing

*Monitoring and Mentorship

For all the points above...WE NEED YOUR HELP.

With $500 or less, a WAY can start their own business, receive the mentoring and training needed with our help and support and build it into a sustainable and growing business which will in turn employ, train and support other WAYs.

We appeal to you Friends, to partner with us and help us in changing the lives of as many West African Youths as is possible and as soon as possible.

We promise to give updates, to share ours and their success stories with you and show you these beautiful lives you are changing and how you are becoming a part of a story being written miles away from you.

Please help us spread the message and get word out....help us involve as many people as you can in this worthy cause

We need your help to turn this dire and bleak situation facing our WAYs into amazing and beautiful futures and life changing stories.

"We know Africa is a far distance, and West Africa is just a 'mark' on the map.....but we are all part of a bigger picture.....A Global Village.....an Extended Community"
