Campaign Story
My mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer last March 2020 while the whole world is in the midst of this pandemic.
It took us 2 months to have her start chemotherapy because of her fear of going to the hospital, worried that she or my father and brother (who accompanies her) would contract covid.
But as days and weeks passed, we realized that we need to overcome our fear and take action so my mother's condition will not worsen.
She has now finished two sessions of chemotherapy and we still have a long way to go.
Unfortunately she has maxed out her health card what with laboratories and scans being requested as well as medicines and supplements to help her get through this battle.
After 3 cycles of chemo, she is scheduled to have another CT/PET scan to see how her body has responded to the chemo. If results permits, she also will undergo a mastectomy to remove her breasts.
Truth is, we are fighting an unforeseeable battle. We are doing what we can to help my mom but I am afraid we will be financially drained eventually.
That is why I decided to create this campaign in hopes that someone/anyone out there would be able to help. I am not expecting much as I know all of us are going through trying times, but I'll just leave this campaign for anyone to take notice and hopefully save enough for my mom's needs.
I am also asking for all of you to include my mom in your prayers. Whatever religion you have, I believe that a higher being is up there listening to our prayers.
Thank you everyone for your time.
