Help us be together!

 Hey, i'm Jesse (an apiring singer/songwriter - shameless plug - YouTube) and this is my partner Lucas (electrical engineering student and English teacher in Brazil). We are currently 14,050kms apart (according to Google) as i'm in Australia and he's in Brazil. We are trying to get Lucas to come live in Australia and today (17/03/2015) I had a meeting with a migration agency that said we can apply for a partner visa and get Lucas over here... The problem being is that the visa is $7000AUD and the agencies help is $4400. There are also medical and police checks involved and flights and stuff but we're not asking for the total amount, just enough to cover most of the visa and the agency fee.

Unfortunately we aren't able to get married yet in Australia which would make is a much easier process, so we're doing the best we can with what we can do.

So that's our goal, and here's a bit about us if you care to know :D I'll keep it short and sweet.

Lucas came here on exchange from Brazil and out of all the universities in Australia, ended up in Canberra where I live. One of my best friends met him and brought him around to a games night she usually holds with our friends. Me and Lucas met and we just hit it off. Soon we were going on dates, travelling together, he met my family, moved in with me and we went to New Zealand together just before he headed back to Brazil.

We didn't know if it would work, being in a long distance relationship with the stupid time differences... but we thought to give it a go. He planned to come back in 4 months when he had the money to pay for the flight.

It was a long 4 months of missing each other, wishing we could be together, but endless hours of Skyping and Facebook chatting and playing games over the PlayStation 4 later, 4 months had gone by and we had made it! Yayyy! 

I surprised him by renting an apartment in Sydney for 2 nights (50% off!) and taking him to see the new Hunger Games movie (haha), and took him to a lovely rotating resturaunt in the Sydney Tower when he arrived. Then after a fast 6 weeks he was gone again for another 5 months :(

That's where we are at now... He's been gone for 1.5 months and we still have 3.5 to go before he gets back. We don't want to have to be apart again. He is my partner and my best friend... We are always doing that thing where we'll talk on Facebook and we'll write the exact same thing to each other and he always says "it's like we're link minded" (he means like-minded, but the little mistakes he makes in English is what helps make him so cute! Haha).

So today i went to the agency to see if we had a chance at getting a partner visa, and the agent is sure that we can prove everything we need to prove but i'd just hate for something as trival as a lack of money stop us from being together. Every dollar/pound/euro/random button from your pocket counts.

He doesn't know i'm doing this, so it would be a pretty awesome surprise.
