Our team from National Law College, Nepal has been selected for the 35th Edition of Jean-Pictet Competition, 2021. This competition is a unique training in International Humanitarian Law and its objective is to take law out of the books.
We, Apekshya, Binita and Ashru are a group of International Humanitarian Law enthusiasts who have been aiming to be a part of this competition from the very first moment of our law school journey.
However the pandemic has left us and our family members financially incapable of affording our participation in this competition. Based on the quality of our written submission, the organizers of this competition have provided us with the maximum help possible from their side i.e. a concession of 1000€ on our 1250€ registration fee and an air ticket for one member. For the remaining 250€ of our registration fees a former participant of Jean-Pictet contributed in paying the amount. We express our sincerest gratitude to our organizers and donors for their support.
Despite such help, we are still unable to afford the airfare ticket of two remaining team members. We are hosting this campaign to help us overcome the financial barrier between us and the platform for which we have been working for almost two years now. We assure you to respect the fund provided, ensure transparency of any information required and utilize the given platform with the best of us.
The fund collected will be used to cover the remaining flight tickets for the two team members and visa fees and travel insurance associated with the journey.
Due to inaccessibility of PayPal in Nepal, we will be using the PayPal account of our organizers. The funds raised will go directly to the organizers and will be fully used towards our participation.
