Campaign Story
Hello all, thank you for taking the time to read this
Our dear friend and brother Ulikhaya was involved in a horrific accident on the 31st of October at 8am, which nearly took his life, but thankfully he survived, although with critical injuries. He fractured his left leg in 3 different places, fractured his left shoulder collar bone and two fingers on his right hand and minor head injuries which are causing intermittent headaches.
Unfortunately Ulikhaya does not have a medical aid scheme due to being retrenched during the lockdown, which has devastated us all. With that being said he is now at a public district hospital waiting to be transferred to a public provincial hospital for surgery where he was previously turned away twice because there are no available beds and his critical injuries were deemed “not an emergency” so as I write to you he has been in severe pain for the past 12 days with fractured bones waiting for an available bed so that he can be transferred and operated on.
Please help us raise the funds by donating or sharing this post to those around you, to help Ulikhaya get admitted to private hospital to receive immediate treatment, he has suffered enough and we would deeply appreciate any help available.
