Help Turkish Bhakti Yogis with Renovations

Goranga Yoga, ISKCON's center in Istanbul, is the heart of our activities in Turkey. Goranga Yoga houses a Govinda restaurant, several Ayurveda courses, yoga classes, Friday kirtans and Sunday feasts. The community also publishes Back to Godhead in Turkish, goes out to Harinam biweekly, and will soon begin distributing prasadam with Food For Life. Despite all these activities, the Bhakti Yoga community in Turkey is actually small. Yet, it is very active due to the dedication of devotees and it is rapidly growing.

During the pandemic, Goranga Yoga has mostly been closed. Now, in the wake of its reopening, we need extensive renovations to make our center functional and beautiful! These renovations are crucial for having an attractive center for our outreach activities and also for expanding our activities.

Among other things, we need to repaint the walls, change the lamps, replace a broken kitchen counter and also buy a dishwasher, a reception desk, several shoe racks, chairs and many other supplies. Devotees in Turkey have been donating what they can but we are still in serious need of funds for the renovations.

With your help, we hope to host once again large groups of people in Goranga Yoga in a welcoming atmosphere. We also hope to begin distributing prasadam as Food For Life.
