Help Tomita live

Tomita is a ~5 years old feral cat who was living in my neighborhood since a few years ago, because in Romania there is a real problem with animals without an owner, we are used with seeing cats/dogs everywhere, we try to spay them but very few get adopted as 40% of the population is already having at least one pet. A few days ago we saw him again and noticed he is very skinny and with a hurt leg, he could barely walk so we took him to the vet and the doctor made investigations to find out what was wrong with the cat. The results were very bad. Despite the fact that he has a sprain of the femural had and weights only 3.2 kgs, he has kidney failure, he is dehydrated and constipated. The doctor let us know that his chances to survive are low and we should also consider euthanize him as option because the treatment is expensive.

We decided to give Tomita a chance to life and his condition has improved after the first 3 days of treatment, now he eats and drinks by himself, we do belive he is going to be okay in the end as he shows a lot of love towards as in exchange for the help he receives.

The costs until now:

- $150 in the first day for investigations and the first IV

- $30 second day, IV + 3 injections

- $50 3rd day, IV + 3 injections + vitamins

- $20 sand and special food for cats with renal function problems.

Upcoming costs

- $30 4th day, IV + 3 injections + vitamins

- $30 5th day, IV + 3 injections + vitamins

After that there he will need to take Blood Tests again to see if his renal functions have been improved. We have no idea how much that will cost but if the result will be good, than he will live.

There is also a bad part... he needs to take some pills named Azodyl for at least the next 90 days (if not for the rest of his live) that costs about ~$170 for a month and a half. He also needs to eat special food for kidney care which is pretty expensive, 1 kg of dry food costs about 13$. In Romania the salaries are really small, the minimum wage is 300$, his treatment for the first 5 days costs as much.

He is getting well day by day, he has very big chances of getting better but his life depends on the first 5 days of the treatment and Azodyl pills, basically his life depends on us affording to pay for his treatment.

We hope that all the efforts made until now are not in vain and he will be able to have a good life, with a loving family and not as a feral cat.
